BRITISH SIGN LANGUAGE LEVEL 2 - Hull
This BSL level 2 course is a progression from Signature Level 1 Award in BSL and helps you to gain advanced signing skills and/or work towards Level 2 in BSL. Communicate with Deaf people using BSL in a range of everyday situations. This will allow learners to participate in longer and more varied conversations
Qualification aim
This qualification is designed to enable learners to develop their skills to communicate with Deaf people using British Sign Language (BSL) in a range of everyday situations. The qualification will allow learners to participate in longer and more varied conversations than at Level 1. The course will develop communication in BSL about real life, routine, and daily experiences. The learner will be able to deal with most routine communication and have enough understanding of grammar to cope with some non-routine communication. Learners should be taught a number of regional variations in sign language.

Assessments
You will undergo an assessment for each of the 3 units. All the Units will be externally assessed.
Unit BSL 201 – Receptive Skills
You will watch a BSL narrative and answer multiple choice questions.
Unit BSL 202 – Productive Skills
You will sign a 3-4 minute presentation, based on one of the themes listed above.
Unit BSL 203 – Conversational Skills
You will have a 6-7 minute conversation with your tutor based on one of the themes listed above.

Re-sit cost or assessment only?
If you fail the unit/assessment day - don't worry, you can re-sit at a one off cost per assessment
